Why did Aamir audition with 70 actresses?

When it comes to choosing the right actor for a role, nobody does it better than Aamir Khan. The actor is known to involve himself at every stage of filmmaking once he agrees to be a part of one in either the capacity of an actor, producer or director. The superstar is doing the same with ‘Dangal’, which is in its pre-production stage right now.
Remember how Aamir and his team had auditioned over 20000 girls for the role of his on-screen daughters? No, no, don’t worry; he didn’t audition that many women for the role of his wife. We all know that Sakshi Tanwar, famous for her portrayal of Parvati in Ekta Kapoor’s daily soap, ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ has been finalized to play his wife, but not many know that 70 actresses were auditioned for the role.
If that wasn’t enough, to help those women get into the skin of the character and feel the scene they had to enact, Aamir too performed the scenes with full conviction so that he could know which of those ladies best suited the role, reacted in the best possible manner and could get their spontaneity to the fore.
No other actor of his stature would even think of doing something like this for the betterment of the film, but trust Aamir to do that and his idea behind this exercise was to gauge their body language, comfort level and look. After a lot of discussions and brainstorming sessions, the actor and the makers collectively took the call to cast Sakshi.

Filmmaker Kabir Sadanand says, “Boycott Independence Day”

b2ap3_thumbnail_Kabir-Sadanand-2.jpgKabir Sadanand might not be in the top rung of filmmakers today, but the talented director is in the news for a right reason (or a wrong one is something you decide dear readers).
Today, while India celebrates its 69th Independence Day and the entire nation is flooded with the exchange of patriotic messages, Kabir Sadanand posted something that might leave many shocked and stunned. But wait, he is not completely wrong.
Here are a few tweets from the director that would compel you to sit back and give it a serious thought. “If you ask me, boycott Independence Day Celebrations until the army is given respect. We owe it to them#IndianArmy #jantarmantar “. Another one reads, “Nazis, Russians, Serbs...they all have hot blood for their country...and here all we have are ffiing hot debates.#jantarmantar
The condition in which our Indian Army soldiers live in and fight for the nation in extremely devastating circumstances is known to all. Echoing Kabir’s sentiments, music composer Vishal Dadlani of Vishal-Shekhar duo, also tweeted, “If@narendramodi ji announces "One Rank One Pension" tomorrow, l'll be truly proud! Please do so, Sir! Our forces deserve it! #OROP|
b2ap3_thumbnail_mini-mathur-post_1365842787.jpgBajrangi Bhaijaan director, Kabir Khan’s wife, Mini Mathur also expressed her displeasure on the way Indian soldiers were recently manhandled in Delhi. “I'm simply horrified at how the nation keepers & war veterans were handled today. The images are unbelievable. The govt has no perspective”
